Agent-Ready Check for Jira

End User License Agreement

Version 1.0 ยท Effective November 1, 2026

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between ARCH BADGER 500, LLC, an Indiana limited liability company ("we", "us"), and the customer that installs or uses Agent-Ready Check for Jira (the "App") ("you"). It covers your use of the App.

By installing or using the App, you agree to this Agreement. If you install it for a company or other organization, you confirm you can agree for that organization. If you don't agree, don't install or use the App.

1. Atlassian's role

The App is sold through the Atlassian Marketplace and runs on Atlassian's cloud. Your purchase, billing, and refunds go through Atlassian under the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use. Your use of Jira, Rovo, and other Atlassian products is covered by your agreements with Atlassian, not by this Agreement.

This Agreement is between you and us. Atlassian is not a party to it.

2. License

While you have a valid license from the Atlassian Marketplace, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the App on your Jira Cloud site, for your internal business purposes. The license covers the number of users and the term shown in your Marketplace license.

An evaluation (trial) license lets you use the App for evaluation only, for the trial period Atlassian sets.

3. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create works based on the App, except as the law allows.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or try to get the App's source code, except as the law allows.
  • Sell, rent, lend, sublicense, or otherwise give the App to anyone else.
  • Remove or bypass the App's license checks.
  • Use the App to break the law or anyone's rights.
  • Use the App to build a competing product.

4. Ownership

We, and our licensors, own the App and all rights in it. This Agreement gives you a license to use the App. It does not transfer ownership. Any rights not granted here are reserved by us.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any duty to you.

5. Your data

You keep all rights in your data. The App keeps its settings in Forge storage on Atlassian's cloud, inside your site, saves a short readiness summary on each work item it scores, and makes no calls to servers outside Atlassian. Our Privacy Policy explains what the App stores, who can see it, and how it is removed, including that work item summaries stay in Jira after you uninstall the App until you remove them.

You are responsible for the settings you enter, such as repository names, and for having the right to use them.

6. Scores and the workflow validator

The App's scores, verdicts, and suggested fixes come from fixed rules applied to the text and fields of a work item. They are a guide, not a judgment of the quality, safety, or correctness of the work. A work item marked ready may still be unclear or unsafe to hand to an AI coding agent, and one marked not ready may be fine. You decide what work to hand to an AI coding agent, and you are responsible for reviewing that work.

If you add the App's workflow validator to a workflow, it is designed to block transitions for work items that don't meet the settings your admins chose. You choose whether to use it, on which transitions, and with which settings. You are responsible for that choice and for its effect on your work.

  • It can stop work from moving. When the App works as designed, it will block transitions for work items that are not ready, including ones your team needs to move. Anyone who can add the override label to a work item can let it through, and a Jira admin can remove the validator from the workflow at any time.
  • It is not a security or compliance control. By design, the validator lets a transition through if the App hits an error, takes longer than 10 seconds, can't read the work item, or your license is inactive, and anyone who can edit labels can skip it. Don't rely on it to stop work that must not proceed.
  • Atlassian runs it. If Atlassian's platform can't run the validator, Jira, not the App, decides whether the transition goes through.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for transitions the validator blocked or allowed, or for delays, missed deadlines, or other effects of either.

7. Fees

Fees, if any, are shown on the App's Marketplace listing and are paid to Atlassian. Refunds follow Atlassian's Marketplace policies.

8. Support and updates

We provide support as described in our Service Level Agreement and on our support page. We may update the App from time to time, including its rules and how it scores. Atlassian may install updates automatically. A change to the rules, or to your project's settings, can change the score and verdict of a work item, including whether the validator lets it through.

9. Third-party services

The App works with Atlassian products, including Rovo. If your admin lets outside AI tools use the App's tools through Atlassian's MCP service, results go to the tool your user connected. We don't control those services and are not responsible for them. Your use of them is covered by their own terms.

10. No warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. THIS INCLUDES WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We don't promise that the App will be error-free or always available, that its scores will be accurate, or that the validator will block or allow any particular transition.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS:

  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, OR FOR DELAYS IN YOUR WORK, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE.
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ABOUT THE APP OR THIS AGREEMENT IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

Some places don't allow some of these limits. In those places, they apply only as far as the law allows.

12. Term and termination

This Agreement starts when you install or first use the App. It lasts as long as you have a valid license.

It ends automatically when your license ends or is not renewed. We may end it if you break it and don't fix the problem within 30 days of our notice. You can end it at any time by uninstalling the App.

When this Agreement ends, you must stop using the App and uninstall it. While your license is inactive, the validator lets transitions through. What Jira does with the validator once the App is uninstalled is up to Jira, so remove it from your workflows before you uninstall. Sections 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 13, and 14 continue after it ends.

13. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Indiana, and both parties agree to those courts' jurisdiction.

14. General

  • Changes. We may update this Agreement. We will post the new version on this page with a new version number and effective date. If you keep using the App after the new version takes effect, you accept it.
  • Export. You must follow all export and sanctions laws that apply to your use of the App.
  • Whole agreement. This Agreement, with the Privacy Policy and Service Level Agreement, is the whole agreement between you and us about the App.
  • Severability. If a court finds part of this Agreement can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce a right, we have not given it up.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer this Agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the App.
